A Vancouver man was killed Sunday night after his car flipped over a jersey barrier on an Interstate 5 onramp near the Clark County Fairgrounds.

Jose A. Contreras, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a Washington State Patrol crash memo.

Troopers said Contreras was driving at 11 p.m. west on state Highway 502 onto the ramp to southbound I-5 when he struck the left side barrier. The car rolled over the barrier and stopped on a neighboring ramp, the crash memo states.

Troopers are still investigating the crash. The crash memo states Contreras was not wearing a seat belt.
