Letter: Vote to keep republic intact

With this midterm election and all elections to come, We the People must really take a hard look at each candidate and where they stand concerning many things which will shape our nation for years to come.

Candidates that put party before the people should not be in office. Incumbents in Congress that blame the executive branch for their not doing their job should be voted out of office. Remember, Congress makes the laws, not the executive branch.

Hopefully we voters will do our research and study each candidate to arrive at a sound reason to vote for them. If a candidate is more concerned about their party than they are about We the People, please do not vote for them.

I am considering candidates that don’t support the Big Lie, that want to pass laws for better immigration, tighter border control, lower drug prices, health care for all, enforceable stronger gun laws, and women’s rights. I am an independent voter having the option to select the best person from any party that will put We the People first when they are elected by the people.

I hope you the voters will join me to keep our democratic republic intact. Please vote.
