The Clark County Arts Commission is seeking nominations for its Lifetime Achievement Award. The award recognizes an artist, arts educator or arts advocate who lives or works in the county and has made a significant contribution to local arts and culture. Individuals or groups may be nominated.

To be eligible, a nominee must be a current or previous longtime resident of the county, age 50 or older or, in the case of a business or nonprofit, in existence for at least 10 years, and active in or recently retired from the arts field.

Nomination packets should include the artist’s name, address and contact information. Include the quality and quantity of distinguished service that has impacted development of cultural life in Clark County, arts advocacy that indicates leadership, inspiration and innovation, vision of future arts development in Clark County, and initiative and implementation, among other information.

Nominations must include the nominator’s name, contact information and three personal references with contact information.

A committee of current commission board members will review the nominations and select the award recipient.

The nomination deadline is Aug. 1. Nomination forms and information on submissions are available on the arts commission website at www.clarkcountyartscommission.com.
