WASHOUGAL — The Camas Lions Club Foundation has made a $1,001 contribution to the Washougal Community Library Building Fund, according to an announcement by the Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation. The gift will make the Lions a Cornerstone Society-level donor toward the project.

Lone Wolf Development has donated land for a new library on Durgan Street between Main and C streets.

Club President Brian Scott noted, “The Camas Lions are a local group of service-minded volunteers dedicated to helping others in the greater Camas-Washougal community since 1938. Our altruistic focus stems from championing kindness and actively improving the lives of all people, especially those with the most need. The Camas Lions decided to donate to the Washougal Library Building Fund because it aligns with our long-standing commitment of supporting literacy in the community.”
