Letter: Will U.S. show it has guts?

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made his eloquent, impassioned plea for help to the U.S. Congress last Wednesday. Now it remains to be seen if our country will step up and provide the help that Ukraine so desperately needs. The response of our Congress and our president will show the world (and our enemies) if we have guts or are gutless. Do we allow the slaughter of innocents to continue? I so hope we do not. If we are indeed the leader of the free world let us show our strength and our humanity.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
