Camas-based nLIGHT, which trades under the symbol LASR, reported a net loss of $8.6 million in its first quarter of 2022, according to its quarterly earnings report.

nLIGHT earned $64.5 million in revenue in the quarter, and the company had expected between $59 million to $67 million.

“Although Aerospace and Defense declined slightly year-over-year, we made excellent technical progress in Directed Energy and we increased our engagement with multiple new potential customers,” said Scott Keeney, nLIGHT’s president and chief executive officer.
