Letter: Neither party meets public’s needs

With the Democratic Party’s full and enthusiastic embrace of identity politics I’ve come to understand that the interests, and vote, of an old, white male like myself, are of little or no concern to the Democrats. If the Republican Party consisted of moderately conservative, pro-environment candidates, rather than a bunch of wackos, I’d switch party affiliation tomorrow. Rather, for the first time in 50 years of voting, I guess I’ll sit this next one out.
