Vancouver city officials had better wake up, or it won’t be long before we look like Portland. Tents off the Highway 14 circle going on to I-5, also along the exit to downtown. What a nice welcome to downtown Vancouver: garbage as you enter the city.
My wife and her friend always go down and park near Who-Song & Larry’s and walk along the river. Recently, her friend’s car window was broken and her purse taken. These wonderful citizens are really going to add to Vancouver’s image.
I’m not heartless; I have and still occasionally volunteer at church to feed the homeless, etc. I live in downtown, and if city officials want these tents near their homes, let me know, I can take them to your neighborhoods, no charge.
Also, do you think light rail is going to help this problem?
