A group of several hundred demonstrators marched through downtown Vancouver on Saturday afternoon, echoing the sentiments of nationwide movements to protect federal and state abortion rights following a leaked Supreme Court decision last week that would allegedly overturn Roe v. Wade.

Protesters initially gathered around 2 p.m. at the Clark County Courthouse before marching to Eighth Street and to the Vancouver waterfront. Speakers led chants of “My body my choice” and “Keep abortion safe and legal” to the crowd before walking a bit farther east along the waterfront and dispersing after sentiments from a few more speakers.

Similar gatherings took place in both Portland and Seattle on Saturday.
