Letter: Councilors ignore the public

Two of our county council members are so worried about their political careers that they blatantly and persistently refuse to vote for the redistricting map desired by their constituents. With our desired plan, they would both be in the same district and have to compete against each other in the next election. Too bad. If they are that concerned, one of them could simply move to a different district; that would solve the problem and we could have the redistricting map that we want.

Don’t you think that it is time to start recall petitions for Karen Bowerman and Gary Medvigy? They have ignored us long enough.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
