Clark County sheriff’s deputies responded Sunday night to a string of armed robberies at businesses in Hazel Dell.

Deputies were called shortly after 11 p.m. for an armed robbery at Five Guys, 310 N.E. 78th St., emergency dispatch records show.

The suspect was described as a white man; 30 to 40 years old; standing 5 feet, 7 inches tall; with long curly brown hair; and acne or a scarred face, sheriff’s Sgt. Brent Waddell said in an email.

The suspect was wearing a blue beanie-style stocking cap, a blue shirt under a dark gray sweatshirt, and blue or gray pants. He was carrying a dark gray backpack, Waddell said. He was not immediately located.

Deputies were also called at about 10:40 p.m. for an armed robbery at Baskin-Robbins, 7000 N.E. Highway 99. Waddell said it was related to the Five Guys robbery and other robberies in Clark County and the Portland area.

No one was injured in either incident.

The sheriff’s office, at this time, is not releasing whether the man made off with any money, Waddell said. The Tactical Detective Unit is investigating.
