Clark County Council hearing set on rescue fund use

The Clark County Council is holding a public hearing at 10 a.m. today to review and hear comments on the county’s HOME Investment Partnerships American Rescue Plan Act Program draft.

The plan will determine how the county allocates about $2 million in federal HOME-ARP funding to be used for affordable housing and homelessness projects. The plan must be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for review before being accepted.

The county invited over 400 stakeholders, including service providers, housing developers, veteran organizations and more, to comment on the development of the plan last winter. The draft of the allocation can be viewed on the Clark County website at https://tinyurl.com/2nnpjr9s.

The meeting will be held both in person and virtually. The public can participant in the following ways:

In person at the council’s hearing room on the sixth floor of the Clark County Public Service Center at 1300 Franklin St. in Vancouver.

Virtually by phone or computer at https://clark.wa.gov/councilors/clark-county-council-meetings.
