Prairie High School to host mental health awareness event

Battle Ground Public Schools is hosting an informational event on teen mental health from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at Prairie High School, 11311 N.E. 119th St.

The event is geared toward parents and guardians and will cover topics, such as warning signs of mental health conditions or substance abuse, suicide prevention, substance use prevention, ways to connect with and support teens, and the introduction of other community-based resources that can help kids and teens in need.

Light refreshments and child care will be provided. The event is open to the public.
