Letter: Take flag back from radicals

I am fundamentally a conservative, supporting programs that help grow our economy, keep us safe, and provide opportunities to anyone willing to work. I also believe that Republicans and Democrats both want to do what they think is right for our communities and country. We have freedom to pursue those goals, unlike most other nations.

The American flag is our national symbol, representing the freedoms we all share. It does not belong to fringe elements with radical ideologies. It is appalling to me that Democrats, Republicans, and independents collectively have allowed them to hijack this symbol as their banner. This is our country. The flag is our symbol. Let’s all fly it.
