Letter: Lessons from the election

What have we again witnessed in the recent election season?

1. Ads for toxic pills and poison pizzas are forbidden, but not for toxic poisonous partisan politics.

2. Half the electorate hates the other guy’s party, but does not question their own.

3. People in general are fed up with the two major parties, but refuse to give alternatives a chance.

4. It supposedly makes sense for elections to be over at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

5. It supposedly makes sense for ballots to trickle in for days and days in some places.

6. Female politicians have been liberated to potentially be as bonkers as male politicians.

7. Political signs poked into the ground are persuasive for some people.

8. Every syllable ever spoken and every action ever taken by a candidate will be dredged up during campaigns.

9. Wyoming unfairly continues to have the same number of U.S. senators as California.

10. Rich people have more influence than most, because the “Supreme” Court decided that money is speech.

Sadly, this list will likely remain valid after the next election.
