A Vancouver man was identified Tuesday as the pedestrian killed Nov. 6 when he was struck by a vehicle on westbound state Highway 500 near Northeast Andresen Road.

The Washington State Patrol said Kenneth P. Knaak, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A white 2012 Lexus sedan was traveling at about 10:30 p.m. west on the highway, approaching Andresen, when Knaak walked into the lane from the center median and was struck, according to a State Patrol crash memo.

The driver, identified as Valia Eskandari, 61, of Beaverton, Ore., was uninjured, troopers said.
