I’m Still Here Foundation recently awarded HOPE Dementia Support a $9,000 Innovation Program Grant. HOPE plans to use the money to help fund a monthly Music and Memories group for individuals with dementia and their care partners, according to a press release.

“Through Music and Memories, research has shown that care partners handle stressors more easily and will experience more bonding and feelings of love and care as the individual living with dementia communicates and cooperates more easily, with less agitation and aggression,” the release said.

The monthly group will be open to anyone in the community who has dementia and their caregivers.
