The Building Industry Association of Clark County recently announced Melissa Bailey of PNW Fire Protection as chair of the Scholarship Committee, a committee of the Building Futures Foundation.

Melissa has served on the Building Futures Foundation Committee for four years. She has played an integral role in the planning and implementing of the foundation’s annual Casino Night, which helps raise critical funds to provide scholarships and tool grants to those entering the construction industry. She has also been involved in the selection of more than 25 scholarship recipients.

The Bonneville Power Administration presented Camas resident Peter Emerson with the Bonneville Power Administration Employee Development award as part of its 2022 Administrator’s Excellence Awards program. The Bonneville Power Administration is a federal power marketing agency that serves the Pacific Northwest.

Emerson’s work with BPA began in 2007. In 2015, he became a supervisor in operations and maintenance, which gave him an opportunity to lead and mentor others, and helped the administration realize the goal of a standardized program. Currently, Emerson oversees day-to-day maintenance and repairs for Bonneville Power Administration facilities, and is responsible for the oversight and management of the administration’s commercial lease program, storm water program and the fire risk assessment program.
