Now that the results are in, we see that Joe Kent had been handed the defense of a district that has been held by a Republican for 10 years and gave it away in a pointless temper-tantrum campaign.
Joe Kent redefined “Republican” to mean someone who claims that Trump won in 2020, wears the red hat, and won’t vote to impeach a Republican president, ever.
He forgot that a majority of the middle and a number of good Republicans need to buy into this. They won’t, and didn’t. It may not take the new congresswoman much effort to keep the district in Democrats’ hands for many years.
Now Kent is what his leader calls “a loser.” Let someone else try next time.
