One game before one of college sport’s most famous events, Bailey Meek made his debut for Army football.

Meek, a freshman defensive end from Ridgefield, had two tackles in a 44-7 win over UMass on Saturday. He’s one of 68 members of the football Class of 2026 at West Point.

Meek had one solo tackle and one-half tackle for loss in Saturday’s win, which improved Army to 5-6 this season.

Army’s season concludes Dec. 10 in the annual Army-Navy Game in Philadelphia. The game, which dates to 1890, is one of the nation’s most popular celebrations of the United States Armed Forces.
