Union’s offensive line controlled the line of scrimmage as the Titans pounded out 233 rushing yards in a 40-20 win over Coeur d’Alene in a non-league game Friday in Idaho.

The Titans controlled the ball for almost 10 minutes after the opening kickoff, running 19 plays to gain 73 yards before settling for a Josh Hall field goal.

The Titans got a 17-yard touchdown run from Cody Zehner in the second quarter and another Hall field goal as the game was tied 13-13 at halftime.

In the second half, Union’s defense stepped up to help the Titans pull away.

Chase Lofton and Clayton Maus had third-quarter interceptions, and the Titans recovered an onside kick to give the offense scoring opportunities.

Maus had a 42-yard touchdown run to put Union up 27-13 in the third quarter. Then the Titans had 12-play drive as AJ Attaran’s 15-yard touchdown reception helped Union pull away.
