Pre-applications to tap into millions of dollars for Vancouver projects in 2023 are set to open soon.

There will be up to $4.5 million in the Community Development Block Grant, HOME Investment Partnerships Program, HOME American Rescue Plan Act and the Affordable Housing Fund available for projects focusing on helping low- to moderate-income individuals and households.

Pre-applications open Monday and are due by 5 p.m. Oct. 31. Final applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. Dec. 16.

The city of Vancouver will host a virtual meeting about the application process and funding requirements from 9-10 a.m. Oct. 10 through Microsoft Teams for those who want to learn more. The informational session will also be recorded and posted online. Further details on the grant application guidelines can be viewed at www.cityofvancouver.us/cdbg.

The Vancouver City Council will review funding applications in April 2023, and money will be awarded in early July.

To request application guidelines in a different format or language, contact Samantha Whitley at 360-487-8602 or by email, samantha.whitley@cityofvancouver.us.
