Letter: Support Perez for Congress

By Betty Cooper, Washougal

I love our government. It builds roads, railroads, ports, and schools. It provides police, fire, and military departments for our protection. Like the humans that created it, our government has flaws. When something you love has flaws, you work to repair it. When the road has a pothole, you don’t send a person with a hand grenade to fix it. You send a person with a shovel.

Marie Gluesenkamp Perez has the correct tools to fix the flaws we have in our government. All we need to do is supply her with our votes. Elect Marie Gluesenkamp Perez to Congress.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
