The Vancouver and Clark County fire marshal’s offices lifted their bans on recreational fires, and the county lifted its ban on outdoor debris burning effective 12:01 a.m. Tuesday.

Both the Vancouver and Clark County fire marshals cited the recent rainfall for lifting the burn bans.

Clark County Fire Marshal Dan Young urged residents to be vigilant when burning and always attend a permitted fire until it is completely extinguished and cold to the touch.

Permits are required for burning yard debris and land clearing. For more information, visit the county’s website at https://clark.wa.gov/community-development/outdoor-burning.
