Letter: Support Baker in election

I cannot believe the state of our union, state or city. Lawlessness, homelessness, inflation and attacks on free speech are alarming. I’m old enough to remember the Nazis being allowed to participate in a parade in the ’50s because of our First Amendment rights. Liberals supported free speech then. Now they shut it down. They accuse those who disagree of being racists, or guilty of white privilege, or homophobic. I’m tired of the fear and intimidation tactics used. That is why I am voting Jeremy Baker. Return respect and truth to the public discourse. Common sense is missing.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
