Letter: Perez would help S.W. Washington

When my car needed a jump last week, it got me thinking about the race between Marie Gluesenkamp Perez and Joe Kent. If I asked Kent for a jump, I imagine he’d see my “Drive Slow” bumper sticker and denounce me for being liberal, yelling “We’re at war!” But Perez would help; she owns a local auto shop and seems to genuinely like constituents from all parties. Kent says he doesn’t want war abroad but he seems to want war in Southwest Washington between conservatives and liberals. How can we elect someone who will hate half of their constituents?
