WSU Vancouver to hold financial aid events

Prospective college students and their families seeking help filing for financial aid for college this year are invited to attend College Goal Washington, a free event to help families complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

The event will be held four days in October in the Undergraduate Building, Room 100 at Washington State University Vancouver, 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Ave., Vancouver.

The event schedule is: 6-8 p.m. Oct. 6; 5:45-7:30 p.m. Oct. 12; 5:45-7:30 p.m. Oct. 17; and 4-6 p.m. Oct. 26.

Guests should be prepared to arrive with a Social Security card or number or alien registration number, a parent if the student is younger than 24, a parent’s Social Security card or number or alien registration number, and any additional financial information, such as child support statement, welfare information or details on a family business.

If you have a disability that requires special materials, services or assistance, contact the Access Center at 360-546-9238 or van.access.center@wsu.edu as soon as possible to discuss your specific needs. Translation assistance will be available for Spanish speakers.

Interested attendees should visit vancouver.wsu.edu/cgw to register and for more information on how to prepare for filing financial aid applications. Registered guests will receive a free parking pass.
