To spread awareness for Child Abuse Prevention Month, Clark County’s Children’s Justice Center is hosting a learning walk April 23 at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site.

The walk is scheduled for 9 to 11 a.m., beginning at East Fifth Street and Fort Vancouver Way. There will be activities along the route to encourage conversations about safety with children, as well as resources, according to a county news release.

The event is free and open to the public. No registration is required.

On Tuesday, the Clark County Council proclaimed April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. For more information about the Arthur D. Curtis Children’s Justice Center and tips for preventing child abuse, visit clark.wa.gov/cjc.
