Clark County sheriff’s deputies arrested a 20-year-old Pierce County man Tuesday in connection with a test drive turned armed carjacking.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office reported that investigators took Jonathan Sisovan of Parkland into custody on suspicion of first-degree robbery, theft of a motor vehicle and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, according to a press release.

The arrest came after an investigation that started Sunday, when the sheriff’s office’s Tactical Detective Unit was called to assist patrol deputies with an armed robbery investigation.

The victim told investigators they were giving a potential buyer of their vehicle a test drive when the potential buyer pulled a gun, demanded their phone and ordered them out before driving away with their car, according to the news release. It said the carjacker and victim had made contact via social media.

Detective Tanya Johnson found the victim’s vehicle and identified the suspect as Sisovan, the sheriff’s office said.

On Tuesday, detectives, along with help from the Southwest Washington Regional SWAT team, arrested Sisovan, the news release states. He was booked into the Clark County Jail.

The Tactical Detective Unit is continuing to investigate.
