Alex Haloulos Younts scored the winning run on Tanner Koford’s ground ball in the bottom of the 9th inning as Hudson’s Bay edged 2A Greater St. Helens League river Columbia River 4-3 on Wednesday.

Hudson’s Bay forced extra innings when Walker Laddusaw singled home Elias Estrada with two outs in the seventh inning at Propstra Stadium.

That came after Columbia River took a 3-2 lead with a run in the top of the seventh. Chris Parkin was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded and two outs.

Haloulos Younts went 3 for 5 at the plate and Chanz Flores turned in a solid pitching effort, allowing two hits, two runs and two walks over six innings.

Wednesday’s game could have postseason ramifications. Hudson’s Bay improved to 8-1 in league play behind only unbeaten Mark Morris.
