Homeless service providers in Clark County are still eligible to receive a stipend of up to $2,000.

The stipends stream from the federal pandemic relief grants Washington began distributing last year. The funding was given in consideration of the hardships the homeless services industry is experiencing, like low income, burnout and emotional toll.

To qualify, a worker must work full time or part time for an organization that contracts within a Washington county or city and serves people experiencing homelessness. Recipients must also have an income at or below 80 percent of their county area median income.

Applications can be accessed at homelessworkerstipend.com and must be completed by June 2.

Second stipends are also available to workers approved for their first stipends on or before Dec. 22, 2022.
