Letter: Bike, toll policies don’t make sense

Why do we have so many bike lanes in downtown Vancouver when it rains eight months out of the year and no one is going to take their bicycle to work?

Why haven’t Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez and Sens. Patty Murray and Maria Cantwell asked the Biden administration and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg for the $1.2 billion to replace the Interstate 5 Bridge from the trillion-dollar “Infrastructure Bill,” rather than taxing their constituents? It makes no sense to me to have a toll on the I-5 freeway, which is an oxymoron. And are all lanes going to be tolled? Or just one like they do in Seattle and back east?
