Letter: Fact-check news sources

News channels should be fact-checked. It’s important to have the information they put out there to be checked so that they don’t let people get riled up about information they are receiving that is not correct. Several news channels report conflicting information and it all depends on which channel you choose to listen to.

As an example, CNN and Fox News often report conflicting information. They both can’t be correct. As a result we are receiving a lot of misinformation. I think it’s wise for people to not just listen to one of the news channels but rather look at two or more to get some balanced information. After doing that, decide for yourself which information you think is correct.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
