Letter: Rally behind Joe Kent

By Matt Garland, Vancouver

Up until nine years ago, I was a mainstream Democrat, not necessarily looking at life or people in political terms at all. At that time, I noticed in my friends their escalating obsession with “green” issues. I refused to join them in their fear-based thinking. Being around them was depressing. I have since then concluded that walking away from these jaded friends was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. All voters should rally behind Joe Kent — who is endorsed by the Washington GOP — so we can secure a future of shared prosperity, safety and health.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
