Battle Ground police are asking for the public’s help with identifying a man suspected in the Feb. 9 assault of a Chipotle Mexican Grill employee.

Officers responded at 7:40 p.m. for a reported assault at the restaurant on Southwest Scotton Way.

Police learned employees had asked a customer to leave after he caused a disturbance. The man then reportedly assaulted an employee before bystanders intervened, according to a police news release.

The assailant left the restaurant in a white SUV, similar to an Infiniti model, before police arrived, the news release states.

Police described the suspect as a Black man, who’s about 6 feet tall and 220 pounds, with a goatee-style beard.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Battle Ground Police Department by calling 311 or going online to www.cityofbg.org/tips.
