Letter: Try plant-based diet

What an interesting article about the health benefits of a plant-based diet. Chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer kill close to 50 million people a year. Two billion people are overweight yet 800 million go to bed hungry in the world. Children learn to live on a diet of processed foods and sugar. Our modern fast food is not a healthy diet for humans or the planet. We need to get back to the kitchen and prepare fresh vegetables, fruit and legumes to reduce the epidemic of diseases.

Seniors, throw away all those pills and start eating a plant-based diet, you will have more energy and improve your health.
