Letter: Voters are derelict

Hello Vancouverites. A great job with not voting on the Vancouver Public Schools supposed renewal levy vote. This was not just a renewal vote, but a new levy vote. How about a $128 million vote over the last levy election in 2017?

Voters you first of all need to use your God-given rights and responsibilities and vote; 32 percent of the 182,000 eligible voters for this election is a downright embarrassment and a dereliction of duty. Also, read the fors and againsts with these trick statements that do not reveal the true circumstances for this levy.

We need to always be well-informed and use our voting rights and responsibilities in everyday occurrences. Don’t let the VPS agenda get away with false truths and get hard-earned money from lazy no-show taxpayers. Shame on all the nonvoters.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
