Letter: McCarthy’s response nonsensical

You just can’t make this stuff up. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy was recently asked if the country’s top-secret documents were safe being stored in Trump’s Mar-a-Lago bathroom. His reply was “a bathroom door locks.”

Apparently it never came to mind to our brilliant House speaker that bathroom doors lock from the inside. Instead of reading magazines while visiting Trump’s Mar-a-Lago “throne room,” an occupant could enjoy reading through boxes of top-secret documents behind a locked door.

To think this man is third in line to the presidency is absolutely frightening.
