Letter: Fireworks should be banned

Re: Fireworks use times (“Fireworks coming soon to Clark County,” The Columbian, June 19). I live in the city of Vancouver where they are banned, and the fireworks have already gone off in our area and will continue after the Fourth. How many injuries and fires do we have to have before fireworks are banned completely? Those that use fireworks for fundraisers need to find another project, i.e. golf tournament, 5K run, etc.
