Clark County COVID-19 case rate, new hospitalization rate both fall

One new death reported in latest data from Clark County Public Health

Clark County’s COVID-19 case rate and new admission rate both fell this week in the latest data from Clark County Public Health. One new death was reported.

Public Health reported 68 new cases this week, for a total of 114,066 to date and a seven-day case rate of 11.6 new cases per 100,000, down from 15.2 last week. The additional death puts the county’s total deaths from COVID-19 at 1,054.

The seven day rate of new hospitalizations fell to 1.6 per 100,000 this week, down from 2.2 last week, according to Public Health, which reported 7.9 percent of the county’s hospital beds and 2.2 percent ICU beds were occupied by people with or suspected of having COVID-19.
