Vancouver Police Department launches body-worn cameras program

System gets positive response from public, local law enforcement

For the past two weeks, Vancouver police officers have added a new step to their call response routine: activating their body-worn cameras.

Over her 12-year career, Vancouver police Cpl. Jamie Haske said she got used to simply stepping out of her patrol vehicle and approaching people involved in a call.
