Leaders and board members in the Washougal School District will be going on a “listening tour” across Washougal in the coming weeks to hear feedback from voters on the district’s recently failed replacement levy. Washougal is set to run the levy again in the upcoming special election on April 25.

“These events are an opportunity to chat with a board member and ask questions or share ideas about our schools,” a district Facebook post read Wednesday. The events are scheduled as follows:

  • 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the library at Cape Horn-Skye Elementary School.
  • 4 to 5:30 p.m. March 28 in the library at Washougal High School.
  • 4 to 5:30 p.m. April 11 in the commons at Excelsior High School.
  • 9 to 11 a.m. April 21 at Bethel Community Church.

The district is also hosting a virtual open house regarding the levy from 5:30 to 7 p.m. April 10. To RSVP for the event, email Kori Kelly at kori.kelly@washougalsd.org.
