Clark County will hold a public meeting at 6 p.m., March 23 to present proposed housing code amendments. The amendments are related to middle housing and smaller single-family strategies identified in the county’s Housing Options Study and Action Plan.

During the meeting staff will present proposed code amendments, listen to feedback, and answer questions. The meeting will be in the sixth-floor hearing room of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver. Those interested can attend in person or virtually via WebEx. For information about the proposed changes and how to join and participate in the meeting, go to www.clark.wa.gov/housingoptions. A recording of the meeting will be posted the following day.

The Housing Options Study and Action Plan was approved by the county council in May 2022 to encourage development of housing affordable to a variety of household incomes. Neighborhoods include Hazel Dell, Salmon Creek, Felida, Pleasant Highlands, Minnehaha and Orchards.

Staff will also present proposed changes to the county Planning Commission during work sessions scheduled for April 6 and May 4.
