The Council for the Homeless invites community members to collect essential household items and create a ‘Welcome Home’ basket for residents moving into a home.
Items for the baskets include:
- Laundry basket.
- Fleece blanket.
- Pillows.
- Kitchen and paper towels, toilet paper, washcloths.
- Soap for laundry, hand washing and dishes.
- Toilet brushes and plungers.
- Cleaning supplies, sponges, brooms.
- Shower curtain and rings.
- Sponges.
All items must be new and scent-free. Council for the Homeless asks that people store items in a laundry basket and deliver them to 2500 Main Street (Council for the Homeless’ headquarters).
