The Council for the Homeless invites community members to collect essential household items and create a ‘Welcome Home’ basket for residents moving into a home.

Items for the baskets include:

  • Laundry basket.
  • Fleece blanket.
  • Pillows.
  • Kitchen and paper towels, toilet paper, washcloths.
  • Soap for laundry, hand washing and dishes.
  • Toilet brushes and plungers.
  • Cleaning supplies, sponges, brooms.
  • Shower curtain and rings.
  • Sponges.

All items must be new and scent-free. Council for the Homeless asks that people store items in a laundry basket and deliver them to 2500 Main Street (Council for the Homeless’ headquarters).
