The Clark County Sheriff’s Office identified a Camas man as the person who died after he crashed a stolen pickup into a tree Sunday along Northeast Washougal River Road.

Corey Hermance, no age listed, died from his injuries at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

The crash was reported about 12:30 a.m. in the 35000 block of Northeast Washougal River Road, the agency said. First responders found a truck that had gone off the road and hit a tree. Hermance was the sole occupant of the truck, the news release states.

The pickup, a white Ford Ranger, had been reported stolen in Portland on Saturday, the sheriff’s office said.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate.
