Letter: Think of lives of others

By Carol Beatty , VANCOUVER

I would think a little thoughtfulness and education would enlighten Mr. Alger (“AR-15s are fun to shoot,” Our Readers’ Views, April 27). AR-15s were designed for the military use only to kill as many enemies as possible at one time. AR-15 is the No. 1 choice for the most current mass shootings. An AR-15 rifle was used at Sandy Hook Elementary, Las Vegas, Uvalde and many more recent mass killings.

Gov. Jay Inslee isn’t the problem. He cares about children being killed at schools, malls, concerts, etc. … Maybe the good old boys and their toys need to think about the lives of others.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
