Clark County COVID-19 case rate, hospitalization rates up slightly

Clark County’s COVID-19 case and hospitalization rates both ticked up this week in the latest data from Clark County Public Health. Three new deaths were reported.

Public Health reported a case rate of 17.4 cases per 100,000 over seven days, up from 17.2 last week, and a new hospital admission rate of 3 per 100,000 over seven days, up from 2.4 last week.

There were 94 new cases reported this week, for a total of 113,664 to date. The deaths bring the county’s total to 1,048 to date, according to Public Health data.

In Clark County, 15.2 percent of hospital beds and 10.4 percent of ICU beds were occupied by people with or suspected of having COVID-19, according to Public Health, which said 27 beds were occupied by people with COVID-19 and 40 by people suspected of having the disease.
