The Battle Ground City Council is accepting applications from residents interested in serving the remaining term of Councilor Shauna Walters.
Walters recently announced she was resigning from the council effective May 31 because she purchased a home outside Battle Ground city limits. Walters’ term in the Position 3 council seat expires Dec. 31.
To qualify for appointment, applicants must be a registered voter in Clark County and a resident of the city of Battle Ground for at least one year prior.
To apply, go to www.cityofbg.org/council-application or visit Battle Ground City Hall at 109 Southwest First St. The application deadline is 4 p.m. June 12.
