Letter: Voters get what they deserve

Doug Gross writes that Washington voters don’t get to vote on taxes (“Why can’t we vote on new tax,” Our Readers Views, May 23), but he’s wrong. Every time there is an election we can do just that.

However, Washington voters seem intent not to do that. How? By voting again and again for the tax-and-spend party, the Democratic Party. Remember $2 gas, a closed border and 2 percent inflation, that all got changed by the Biden administration. Lots of Washingtonians voted for that, too, by getting Joe Biden into the White House.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
