Letter: Let kids know help is available

By
Published:

This is simple but might be a big help. Create labels that would attach to the inside of the doors of restroom stalls and in front of urinals in schools.

Do you feel safe at home? Do you feel safe at school? Is someone hurting you? Is someone in your home being hurt? Is someone touching you in ways you don’t like? Are you being bullied? Are you thinking of hurting yourself or someone else?

It would also include the appropriate phone numbers to call for help. Our kids need to know there is help for them and they are not alone.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
